#285 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Tuesday, 2/2/2021 8:09:29 ET ALL Grand-Slam Leagues have been indefinitely suspended. No teams or Leagues are competing or currently available. Thanks for your interest and apologies for any inconvenience. ------------------------------- #284 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Tuesday, 3/17/2020 6:41:19 ET Hopefully, everyone is healthy and safe! That said, the virus situation does not seem to be an issue for the 2020 Grand-Slam draft. So, drafts will be held as scheduled. BUT, the beginning of 2020 fantasy competition will be delayed for a period approximating the delay of the MLB season. Look for email(s) with more definitive info once the extent of the seasons delay are fully known. ------------------------------- #283 by: Commissioner (Mike Stanley) on: Saturday, 7/6/2019 6:36:18 ET Week 16 is ALL-Star Week. I think our league needs PED testing. Either that or there is an obscure 200 point scoring bonus I don't know about for getting a single in the bottom of the 6th in a 3-3 game with the wind blowing out to right center on August 11th . . . and Ryan Ludwick hit the jackpot. ------------------------------- #217 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Sunday, 8/1/2010 14:11:36 ET I know I noticed they have Ryan Howard at -10 for the week and by my count he should have +2 Thats a 12 point swing I havent checked any other scores but something is a miss... ------------------------------- #216 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Sunday, 8/1/2010 13:00:19 ET slight error in the scoring system as Ted Lilly is showing having 132 points for the week. ------------------------------- #215 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Wednesday, 7/14/2010 9:53:47 ET Yea its not looking good for my three peat this year. Now if I could just get someone to steal that pesky Grienke's favorite pitching hat . . . ------------------------------- #196 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Wednesday, 9/2/2009 8:19:30 ET 140 points in two days!! I figured if I was going to lose my 100+ pt lead it would take more then 2 days to do so. ------------------------------- #195 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Thursday, 8/27/2009 9:20:40 ET I am off to a good start but with it being a 2 week series any lead is not safe against a good team like the Keno Haints. I just cant believe that 5 of the top 6 teams are in the East and based on season points 7 of the top 9. Winning the division and if I hold on and win the East Championship probably means more then winning the entire league. Since WC in the West basically gets a free pass to the finals every year by just putting in a valid lineup. Any of the 7 teams in the East would of easily made the West Championship game and would have given WC a run for the title. Next year WC should join the East and we can have an 8 team lg and the other 6 teams can compete for the JV West title or we can have Contraction and just disband the West all together. ------------------------------- #194 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Monday, 8/17/2009 9:14:44 ET Guess I didn't need to pay the Keno Haints eh? Good luck to everyone in the playoffs ------------------------------- #193 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Sunday, 8/16/2009 15:51:39 ET Looking forward to it :) ------------------------------- #192 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Sunday, 8/16/2009 2:23:54 ET Mike, It is all for naught. Another embarassing season... but then again, I get what I deserve when I skip the draft (thanks again Commissioner/computer for going OF for rounds 1-4 (all of which have been on the DL) and then RP for the next 3 (all of which had to be cut since I don't play RP)). Oh well, next year I will mark my calendar better. -Z- p.s. Broomologist, I won't miss the Lambda Gold draft and with my pre-season trade this is my season. ------------------------------- #191 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Saturday, 8/15/2009 10:38:00 ET Ahhh - not so fast. Note the effect of the celebrated Mr. Holiday. Remember: Never make fun of the alligator until you are completely across the lake. ------------------------------- #190 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Thursday, 8/13/2009 20:22:36 ET Mike, Thought about it? By the looks of the score you amassed so far this week it appears that you're playing your double A'ers. Thanks for nothing. -Z- ------------------------------- #189 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Tuesday, 8/11/2009 11:27:12 ET Pinecones, I thought about resting my starters for the playoffs, but every man has his price. Perhaps the Kittens would like to open the bidding? If I lose this week don't blame me, blame De La Rosa. Good luck, Mike ------------------------------- #188 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Tuesday, 8/11/2009 11:16:16 ET Keno, You're my only hope. -Z- ------------------------------- #187 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Sunday, 7/12/2009 19:52:18 ET Keno, I wouldn't accomplish much with that trade. JD will probably be on the DL before our trade would be completed. -Z- ------------------------------- #186 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Sunday, 7/12/2009 12:09:06 ET Is JD Drew better than Cameron? If you think so then you have a deal - don't forget to factor in Beltran's time unavailable due to DL time, this one plus, based on his history, probably one more this season. ------------------------------- #185 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 7/11/2009 2:24:35 ET Is anyone interested in trading for Beltran... I (actually the Commissioner) drafted him in my 2nd round so he is eligible to be saved. I like the guy, but I am running out of transactions and can not afford to put him on the DL. I am looking for an OF better than Cameron. Beltran would make a nice KEEPER for next year. -Z- ------------------------------- #184 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 6/29/2009 13:53:48 ET How many 1 point division losses must I suffer in one year? (Matt Harrison SUCKS!!!) -Z- ------------------------------- #183 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Tuesday, 6/16/2009 3:20:53 ET I have an extra third baseman if anyone is interested in a trade ------------------------------- #182 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Monday, 6/15/2009 8:41:15 ET Only the Giants coaching staff would bring out Cain in the 9th in todays era. Since he already thrown over 105 pitchers, they had a lead of over 6 runs and he already lost his shoutout. I am glad they did it since without them I don't win. See you in few months Pinecones for the Rematch. ------------------------------- #181 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Sunday, 6/14/2009 19:03:59 ET I can't believe I collapsed. -Z- ------------------------------- #180 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Tuesday, 6/9/2009 10:47:27 ET That, sir, is hilarious. ------------------------------- #179 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Tuesday, 6/9/2009 0:20:58 ET My team is playing like they've been sent down to the Western Division. -Z- ------------------------------- #178 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Thursday, 5/21/2009 17:55:24 ET I can only hope. : - ) The Haints ------------------------------- #177 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Wednesday, 5/20/2009 8:33:44 ET Message - If I remember correct it was against the Keno's as well. ------------------------------- #176 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 5/18/2009 23:26:47 ET Keno, I feel for you. Now I see my arch rival has picked up Z Miner. As Vince Lombardi would say " WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON"...I dont care about the Z Miner mess the Pinecones can have him but I have to do the Upton and Pinerio transactions again and will get dinged again for them. How about the Eastern Win /Loss records 3 teams tied for first! Congrats to the Jersey Kittens on winning the bye with the tiebreaker. ------------------------------- #148 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Sunday, 8/10/2008 11:33:26 ET This really sucks! My goal is to score at least 3000 points. Because it takes around 3000 to make the playoffs. I am 5 points away and in dead last in my division! Why couldn't I have gotten a team in the western division!!! ------------------------------- #147 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Sunday, 7/27/2008 12:34:27 ET Not to mention - two in one day and three in a week. If I was in the western div I would be in 3rd and sitting pretty. Based on points for the year. Steve ------------------------------- #142 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Monday, 7/21/2008 14:52:03 ET It's a pretty sad week when the only team you score higher then is The Spleens, who start 4 inactive pitchers. These last 3 weeks should be interesting in the East. I probably have to go undefeated the next 3 games to get into the playoffs and I dont think I have won 3 in a row yet this entire year. ------------------------------- #141 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Monday, 7/21/2008 11:37:29 ET I had no right winning this week. ------------------------------- #140 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Friday, 7/11/2008 20:00:09 ET The East is definitely the dominant division, once again, just as predicted. What do my Eastern brethen think about who makes the playoffs? I am thinking I will get in if I get to 11 wins. I hope I am not the hard luck loser like B- Sharps was last year. -Z- ------------------------------- #139 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Wednesday, 7/9/2008 20:25:24 ET ------------------------------- #138 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 6/23/2008 20:29:25 ET David Dejesus has already outscored Adam Dunn's and Pat Burrel's combined totals from last week... what a pick-up! ------------------------------- #137 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Sunday, 6/22/2008 13:41:35 ET Dunn may be awful but Vlad more then took up for what Dunn could not do. Can't get much closer it's going to come down to the the 4 starters going and I think you may have the edge with that. ------------------------------- #136 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 6/21/2008 15:07:06 ET Dunn's Stats since May 30: 65 at bats 7 hits 7 rbis 29 Ks ------------------------------- #135 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 6/21/2008 12:45:21 ET B- How about those hitters of mine... Burrell and Dunn managed to strikeout enough yesterday to being their respective weekly totals back down to 0. Dunn sucks! -Z- ------------------------------- #134 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Wednesday, 6/18/2008 7:51:01 ET I probably would of been better to start a few one start pitchers for the week after Webb and Snell posted two negative scores. ------------------------------- #133 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 6/16/2008 20:46:08 ET B- I thought I had you going in with my 8 starts, and then I took a look at your starters, and lucky me, you have 8 starts as well... then it dawned on me that you probably did the same thing. Good luck... but I like my chances. -Z- ------------------------------- #132 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Monday, 6/2/2008 11:23:31 ET 200 again and i lose. ------------------------------- #131 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Wednesday, 5/28/2008 12:11:23 ET I want to name a champion now!!! ------------------------------- #130 by: Springfield Isotopes (Greg Eid) on: Wednesday, 5/28/2008 0:38:23 ET The luck continues. Daisuke goes out with an injury tonight. Thats my entire starting rotation in one week. Wow. And Buckeye, why don't we just wait till the end to see who's the champion. ------------------------------- #129 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Tuesday, 5/27/2008 23:27:57 ET Yeah this last week was my lowest point output of the year. Who are the dead teams? Looks like only one team with no manager. I still disagree that the champ is from the East. ------------------------------- #128 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Tuesday, 5/27/2008 17:08:21 ET Isotopes, You have been befallen with some incrediblly poor opponent play. You still have not had an opponent score more than 149 points in any given week. You also are fortunate enough to play in the Western Division; home to 4 dead teams and Camp Rippley Gunners (the walking dead). No, this is another typical year in Grand Slam II. The Eastern teams are once again battling it out to make the playoffs, and the inevitably the Championship. -Z- ------------------------------- #127 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Tuesday, 5/27/2008 12:32:44 ET You're 8-0. Knock it off and stop whining or you're grounded. Love, Dad ------------------------------- #126 by: Springfield Isotopes (Greg Eid) on: Tuesday, 5/27/2008 8:26:04 ET I'm thinkin this is going to be a bad week. Had two of my starters go out last week. Now I'm relying on a Royal and a Ray...the Isotopes have seen better days. ------------------------------- #125 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Monday, 5/19/2008 14:16:53 ET As much as I would like him to blow it he is facing Oakland He will be fine. ------------------------------- #124 by: Springfield Isotopes (Greg Eid) on: Monday, 5/19/2008 8:19:33 ET And for the first time all year I have sit one of my starting pitchers in favor of a guy who's 6-1 because Peavy has a sore elbow...shoot. Let's hope Sonnanstine doesnt blow it for me. ------------------------------- #123 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Friday, 5/16/2008 15:04:07 ET I lose the first week with a tie (a tie?). I lose the second week to my son (I'm still hearing about that). I lose the third week by 3. This week so far I have the runaway 2nd highest point total in the league - - - and I'm still 46 points behind my opponent. What the heck? I am not enjoying any part of this cruel excuse for recreation. ------------------------------- #122 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 5/10/2008 1:19:46 ET This is going to be a long season! ------------------------------- #121 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 4/28/2008 18:25:17 ET at least you have feasted a coupled times, its just famine for me... ------------------------------- #120 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Sunday, 4/27/2008 20:29:20 ET It's feast or famine for the PINECONES! ------------------------------- #119 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Monday, 4/14/2008 10:15:40 ET Good game Rattlers. Damn Bannister. Hope to get another shot soon. ------------------------------- #118 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 4/12/2008 0:03:35 ET B, It looks like I turned the tables on you this year, let's hope my outcome isn't as dissapointing as yours was lastg year. Z ------------------------------- #117 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Monday, 4/7/2008 10:17:58 ET Pinecones, the schedule did not do you any favors. Playing a ghost owner team in week 1 before his guys can get hurt then playing me the next week. It kind of stinks that we play again in week 12. That is kind of like the Sox-Yankees having the last series in early August. Was hoping to play you in week 19 when I go for 19-0 but instead that honor will go to that new Western League team. The one who talks more about change then Obama. ------------------------------- #116 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Sunday, 4/6/2008 20:10:16 ET Damn Zito... he is all yours! ------------------------------- #115 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Saturday, 3/29/2008 10:38:00 ET Well this is my first year and I am going to change that. ------------------------------- #114 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Friday, 3/28/2008 19:16:22 ET WC, What we are looking at is the past 6 years and 1, count them 1, Champion coming from the West. That being said, I am sure you have a hell of a team... so good luck and get ready for a pounding from each and every Eastern Division squad. -Z- ------------------------------- #113 by: WC Broomoligists (robert strader) on: Wednesday, 3/26/2008 0:38:09 ET Not sure what you are looking at but I'll take my team against any team. How about we let this play out before we talk to much. ------------------------------- #112 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Tuesday, 3/25/2008 10:29:22 ET I would say that all 7 teams in the Eastern Division are better then any of the teams in the Western. It's a lot like the AL or more so the late 80's early 90's NFL. They need to reseed the playoffs. So the winner of the first rd games plays the division winner of the opposite league. That way we can really call the Championship game just that, rather then what we call in now. The Eastern League Champions Game. ------------------------------- #111 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 3/24/2008 21:01:48 ET I would agree the Eastern Division has the better teams. I cant wait to seek my revenge on all the teams that whooped my rear end last year. I have won trophy's in GS I in 07 and 05, GS IV in 04, and GS III in 05 and I cant wait to add one from II and V this year! So Good luck to you all! Pinecones you are mine this year!! Steve Igwanakikbooties ------------------------------- #110 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 3/24/2008 20:30:51 ET It looks like the Eastern Division is once again poised to dominate the Western Division... same thing every year. Good luck my Eastern Division breathren... I say we keep B-Sharps down again this year... nothing like scoring 250 and losing! Dr. Z Buckeye Pinecones 63-32 (since 2003) 2 time Grand Slam II Champion ------------------------------- #109 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 3/15/2008 13:20:10 ET Good luck all on the draft next week ------------------------------- #108 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Tuesday, 3/11/2008 2:47:48 ET Last week for trades!!!!! Good game Maroon. -Z- ------------------------------- #104 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 8/27/2007 20:38:02 ET This is unbelievable... McCann who has a whopping 16 home runs this year, has hit 4 of them in the past week, 2 of which were Grand Slams... which by the way were the first of his career. Can anything else possbly go your way? ------------------------------- #103 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Wednesday, 8/15/2007 20:25:43 ET If I could relocate and move to the Western Divison I would make the playoffs no problem each year. I think I was 0-4 against you (JK) and that RI Team so I did not deserve to make the playoffs. Any interest in trading Hafner in the off season? ------------------------------- #102 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Monday, 8/13/2007 18:01:20 ET Dang -- I feel bad for the B-Sharps. Highest point total in the league and doesn't make the playoffs. That's rough. ------------------------------- #101 by: Springfield Isotopes (Greg Eid) on: Thursday, 8/2/2007 9:18:19 ET Tight race in the western. I got my money on Banditos making a stunning comeback. ------------------------------- #100 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Tuesday, 7/31/2007 23:43:21 ET I don't know... I lost 2 starts with the Lohse trade. I concur... football can't get here soon enough! ------------------------------- #99 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Tuesday, 7/31/2007 18:50:16 ET Don't worry Pinecones. After Friday you will be leading and then you will end up winning by single digits after Sunday. Every single week its been the same thing. Good thing Football Season is around the corner. ------------------------------- #98 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 7/30/2007 22:46:51 ET Nothing like spotting the top scoring team 40 points on Monday. Not one player of mine played today. ------------------------------- #97 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Sunday, 7/22/2007 20:48:54 ET I am going to score over 250+ for the week and still lose!! This is just not my year and I am probably at the point if I lose again there will be no playoffs. Every single week its something in this division. Next year I am going to try and see how I can get the Banditos on the schedule for two! ------------------------------- #96 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 7/21/2007 11:08:33 ET Sorry but last week was the last week you could trade... ------------------------------- #95 by: Buckeye Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 7/21/2007 1:03:58 ET ANYONE OUT THERE? First two draft picks outs, and everyone else slumping... not looking good. ------------------------------- #93 by: Springfield Isotopes (Greg Eid) on: Tuesday, 5/29/2007 15:24:34 ET Man starting out 4-0 and then going 0-4 I now know what it must feel like to be Joe Torre these days. ------------------------------- #92 by: Diamond Dogs (Russ Volberding) on: Tuesday, 5/29/2007 7:27:36 ET I don't know if any records are kept but it seems like there have been more players on the DL this year than in recent years. Did you notice the difference between our starters point totals for the regular season...1 point. Thanks to all, and especially the commish, for a great experience. ------------------------------- #72 by: Keno Haints (Mike Eid) on: Wednesday, 9/20/2006 1:17:56 ET Thanks - I did not have the best team but I had an incredible run of luck with the right guys having big weeks at the right time. If the Diamond Dogs had gotten even slightly below average points out of their starting pitching they would have won easily. The same can be said in my wins against the Sharps and the Kick Booties earlier in the playoffs. Oh well - sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. ------------------------------- #71 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 9/18/2006 8:46:38 ET Congrats Keno Haints! ------------------------------- #70 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Saturday, 9/16/2006 13:01:01 ET This League Championship is close with Keno Haints and Diamond Dogs in a nail biter. I also remember getting destroyed everytime I played against you. ------------------------------- #43 by: Surprise Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Saturday, 3/25/2006 18:39:37 ET B-Sharp... I thought it would be smooth sailing this year with my friend abandoning the league (Arizona Scorpions). I had Schilling #1 on my card 30 seconds before my pick was due, only to change it to Ramirez and gamble that I could make it through 19 picks and grab Schilling in the 3rd. I can't believe Mike left Schilling an RP/SP... I drafted Schmoltz #1 last year when he was an RP... why didn't I just grab Schilling... I hope he breaks an ankle! ------------------------------- #42 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Friday, 3/17/2006 12:07:29 ET Good Luck on the new Season! ------------------------------- #41 by: Igwana Kikbooties (Steve King) on: Monday, 3/13/2006 18:31:53 ET Rosters Lock This Wednesday!! Steve King Igwanakikbooties ------------------------------- #38 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Monday, 9/12/2005 6:44:56 ET Looks like it's time to turn out the lights the party is over. Great job by the Chicago Mob ------------------------------- #37 by: Chicago Mob (Jeffery Spirek) on: Monday, 9/5/2005 10:34:54 ET That was a good match Scorps. I thought it was pretty much over, then all 4 of your pitchers win on saturday and it goes right down to the wire. As to the discussion about who the best team is, I think that will be settled in the next two weeks. ------------------------------- #36 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Monday, 9/5/2005 10:04:55 ET Congrats J Kittins. Your team was much the best all season. I think you beat me all 3 times we played this year. I would've loved to win but its nice seeing the team with the best regular season record advance to the finals. Good Luck the rest of the way. ------------------------------- #35 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Sunday, 9/4/2005 22:53:01 ET Saying that the two best teams played in the semis when the other two teams outscored both of you by at least 200 pts during the season is a bit presumptuous. ------------------------------- #34 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Sunday, 9/4/2005 22:05:06 ET Alas.... Good match Mob, looks the two best teams played in the semis...Some guys took Sunday off and it killed me, not to mention Dye playing well above his average. Oh well as the Cub fans always say--there is always next year....besides football is my real love and baseball is just a time filler. ------------------------------- #33 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 8/29/2005 21:00:41 ET Mob and Scorps gonna be close. Congrats Mob on the killer week. I have my horses getting 8 starts this week, to your guys 3 plus Hoffman and you have a decent lead. Ought to be fun to watch............ ------------------------------- #32 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 8/22/2005 10:56:34 ET Let the real games begin............Good luck to all ------------------------------- #31 by: Surprise Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Wednesday, 8/17/2005 0:55:09 ET This sucks. ------------------------------- #30 by: Surprise Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Wednesday, 8/10/2005 20:43:28 ET Turn out the lights... What's worse, it was my guy who hits the grand slam... I was actually hoping for a Greinke K. ------------------------------- #29 by: Surprise Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 8/8/2005 20:20:31 ET (to Red Sox): I saw that as well... gotta pray they get hammered. (to B-Sharp): As for my being out of it early... I just had a run a bad luck... I wasn't getting enough multiple pitching starts and my hitters were all in a simulatenous slump. By the way, my use of starters as relievers has reallly caught on... and I bet you all were mocking my pick of John Smoltz in the first round (albeit there is an argument we would have still been around in the 3rd; however, I knew Scorpions was also drafting starters as relievers and I wanted to make sure I had Smoltz). ------------------------------- #28 by: The B-Sharps (Bobby Green JR) on: Monday, 8/8/2005 15:37:54 ET Whatever happens its going to be tough to get 12 wins and not make the playoffs. I have no idea whats going to happen this week but if you did not lose that game a few weeks ago you would of ran the table with like an 8 game winning streak to close the regular season. I thought your team was done when I beat you a few months ago. ------------------------------- #27 by: Red Sox Forever (Robert Miele) on: Monday, 8/8/2005 13:52:35 ET Surprise Pinecones ..... you should have been thinking about that when you whipped my butt in last year's playoff! But I'll try. Not much hope. All of his pitchers are starting twice this week. ------------------------------- #26 by: Surprise Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Monday, 8/8/2005 1:09:22 ET Red Sox Forever... you're my only hope... ------------------------------- #25 by: Lansing Losers (Jeffery Kershner) on: Saturday, 7/9/2005 3:15:59 ET willing to trade vladi and or soriano. looking for close to equal talent . vladi is a 1st rounder and soriano had been saved 2 times. ------------------------------- #24 by: Lansing Losers (Jeffery Kershner) on: Monday, 7/4/2005 20:24:34 ET Looking for SS. ------------------------------- #23 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Thursday, 6/23/2005 19:46:55 ET Willing to trade Rolen for a SP. ------------------------------- #22 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 6/13/2005 15:26:43 ET Wow! Finally won a close one. Two of my three losses have been by 3 points. Good match Camp--thought I was dead when Santana had that monster of a game. ------------------------------- #21 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 6/6/2005 23:02:33 ET Matt Morris--Complete game 4 hitter---well done Camp, nice drop!! ------------------------------- #20 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 5/30/2005 12:05:07 ET Was that the Pinecones jawing a few weeks ago about how my team would barely compete in his division? Now I am on top of my division with 2nd most total points, and the Pinecones are where, oh yea losers of 4 in a row, and would be in last place in our division. Chin up Pinecones still a long way to go!! ------------------------------- #19 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Sunday, 5/29/2005 11:25:27 ET Waiving Matt Morris to acquire Lidle? Morris 3-0 in his last 4 starts and plays for arguably the best team in baseball. B-Sharps happens to luck out and happens to see first that Morris gets waived. Maybe you and B-Sharps are friends? Only thing I can figure. You waived Santana and Delluci too, but picked them back up. Well done camp, love it when a team does something stupid to uneven the league, nothing the like the best team getting better---MORON ------------------------------- #18 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Wednesday, 5/25/2005 23:37:42 ET 2 good position players go down in one week Loretta then Lopez. Gonna be tougher for the Scorps now!! ------------------------------- #17 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 5/16/2005 11:05:47 ET Man oh man another tough loss, 3 points as my 3 best hitters get an off day on Sunday. Don't these damn managers know we need them to play all 162 games and bat .400 with 50 HR and 150 RBI--come on managers!! ------------------------------- #16 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Monday, 5/9/2005 13:01:56 ET Talk about disappointing, third highest points for the week and lose. That darn Soriano. ------------------------------- #15 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Monday, 5/9/2005 10:07:02 ET Pinecones--See what all that jawing you did--you got my team mad. You had a valiant effort on Sunday, but my guys scored enough to hold you off. Until next time..... ------------------------------- #14 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Wednesday, 5/4/2005 19:45:46 ET It is close in points and it's early. I was the points leader last year as well, and did not overtake until the 2nd half of the season. It is a long season, and may the best man win in the end. ------------------------------- #13 by: Jersey Kittens (Joe Roa) on: Wednesday, 5/4/2005 10:08:48 ET The Scorps have an excellent team so he'd be vying for first. Although if you look at my point total that is par for what I have been putting up all year. ------------------------------- #12 by: Arizona Scorpions (Chris Browner) on: Tuesday, 5/3/2005 15:57:29 ET Battling my ass!! 4th best last week, tough loss. Kittens got one time anomaly performances outta Lee and Bonderman. After I beat you this week, we will see if you are still jawing. You may have beat me last year in the finals, but this is a new year. Scorps GM ------------------------------- #11 by: Surprise Pinecones (Jeffrey Blilie) on: Tuesday, 5/3/2005 11:05:27 ET Damn... there is some disparity between the divisions. Scorp would be battling for 5th place if he were in the East. ------------------------------- #10 by: Pinstripes (Evil Empire) on: Monday, 3/14/2005 14:44:00 ET 1 day till Rosters lock sale.
