~~ Space League Rules (2014 Salary League) ~~
CLICK HERE for OFFICIAL .doc version

1.) Each team will have a salary cap as reflected on the team page. The player selection list determines the salary of a player and what position he can be used. Any player that is NOT listed on the selection list will be valued at 6 fantasy dollars. The position that these unlisted players can play is determined by what position they play in real life the majority of the time. If there is a question to what position they play, the commissioner will decide. (Example: John Doe was has been playing in the outfield for 10 games and 2nd base for 5 games this year, but last year he played 2nd base. Since he is not listed in the selection list, he only qualifies for outfield this year.) Any player that is listed in multiple positions in the selection list can be used only for one position at any given time. If you have any fantasy dollars left over, the extra fantasy dollars will be kept in your fantasy cash account so that you may use the fantasy dollars during the season when you make trades. Your player salaries added with your fantasy cash account will always equal the salary cap on the team page.

  • 1-Second Baseman

2.) Each team will be allowed 6 trades that may be used at any time. All trades must be submitted by the managers and the cutoff time for trades will be 11:00 AM CDT on any given day to be effective that day. Any trade made after 11:00 AM CDT will take place on the following day.

3.) Players may be moved to another position that the player qualifies for, freely without the use of a trade.

4.) We only use U.S. Major League Baseball statistics for calculating points. We do NOT count any statistics from foreign or minor leagues. Statistics for the players will be updated daily.
The following point system will be used.

5.) All teams must be complete and entered by 11:00 AM CDT the day of the first real game is played (Sunday, April 2nd, 2017). . Those teams that do not make the deadline will earn points from the day that the completed teams have been entered. Managers are responsible for entering their own teams. If you have problems entering the teams, let the commissioner know as soon as possible – DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST DAY.

6.) For each team there is an entrance fee of 30 dollars. The prize money will be distributed in the following ways listed below. In the event of a tie, all prize money for the involved tied positions will be divided equally between all of the tied teams. For example, if the two top scoring teams tied for first, they would split the combined first and second place award, while the third highest team in the standings would receive the third place award. In the event of a labor strike, any remaining prize money would be awarded once the MLB season has been officially declared finished by MLB. The cost of the web site/trophy (150) will be deducted from the prize money.
  • 40% will be given to the team with the highest score at the end of the season.
  • 25% will be given to the team with the 2nd highest score at the end of the season.
  • 14% will be given to the team with the 3rd highest score at the end of the season.
  • 10% will be given to the team with the 4th highest score at the end of the season.
  • 7% will be given to the team with the 5th highest score at the end of the season.
  • 4% will be given to the team with the 6th highest score at the end of the season.
7.) The league commissioners will assume that you understand ALL the rules. You should ask questions if there is something that is unclear to you. Thanks for your participation. Good luck! Now, let's play ball!
